I've been a massage educator for 9 years. I have travelled the world and received a plethora of amazing work from masters in their chosen body work disciplines. Paul has taken an ancient massage form and elevated it to a fine art. His hands have a technical skill hard to achieve, but in concert with his intuitive abilities you're assured to have a life experience as well as an amazing massage. I highly recommend his talents.

I spent more hours than I care to count going to physical therapy for my knee pain. However, all those months of physical therapy did little to improve my condition. I resigned myself to believe that I would just have to suffer with this discomfort for the rest of my life. Then I found Paul and Thai Massage Chicago. A friend had once had Thai massage and thought it might be effective in getting some relief from nearly constant pain and discomfort. After one session, there was a noticable increase in my range of motion and a noticable decrease in the pain. After a month, I was walking nearly pain free again for the first time in years. I continue to be treated by Paul and continue to be amazed at his ability to teach me more and more about my body each time I see him. I highly recommend Thai Massage Chicago for anyone who has musculo-skeletal issues and is looking for insight, understanding and relief.

As a personal trainer for over fifteen years, I lead a very active lifestyle. I'm also acutely aware of tight or painful areas in my body. For several years I have been trying different methods of therapy to address certain areas of chronic tension: deep tissue massage, rolfing, chiropractic, stretching, myofascial release. The very first Thai massage session with Paul gave relief to those areas of pain and malfunction. He listened attentively to my description of the problem and honed in on the muscles with targeted stretches and deep release techniques. We're lucky to have such a talented therapist in Chicago!

Thai massage helps me to relax my mind, breathe more freely and open my body to new energy. I come away re-invigorated, while also having discovered something new about my body and myself.

It's only a matter of time before Thai Massage joins the ranks of Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi and other forms of bodywork that have entered the mainstream of healing modalities. Thai Massage is safe, effective, cost effective, and pleasurable to utilize w/ a number of 21st century stress-related ailments such as migraines, hypertension, anxiety, gastrointestinal problems, and a host of other disorders. I myself have used it to ease the pain of arthritis in my hips, neck and hands, and as a yoga teacher I have incorporated some Thai Massage techniques w/ a student of mine who has POTS, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. Incidentally, Johns Hopkins Medical Center recommended the Yoga as therapy for her, and her insurance is paying for it! If that isn't evidence of Eastern healing modalities going mainstream, I don't know what is.

My first experience with Thai Massage was, simply put, transforming. I had been dealing with a few sports/exercise-related injuries, aches and pains for a number of years. While I was able to find a certain level of relief from other modalities (acupuncture, traditional massage, physical therapy), the pain in most of my areas was completely alleviated after only one session of Thai Massage! No one was more surprised at it's immediate effecicacy than I was...what a joy to experience such pain relief after trying so many different things. And the treatment itself feels wonderful!! I would recommend it to anyone.

I have had numerous professional massages in my life. I worked as a nurse in the operating room and between standing and lifting patients and stress it seemed that I was always in pain in one place or another. Finally one day I was helping to move a patient off of the OR table to his bed and I injured my back. I was off work for a few days and took medications and went to months of physical therapy (2X week) and I got stronger and smarter about how to move, but I always still had lower back pain. Then I met you. There was an announcement for a special deal for Thai massage and I always enjoyed a massage so I thought I would try it out. Frankly I did not expect anything more than a relaxing "treatment". That first massage changed my life. I felt remarkably better - just after the first session. I had always read/heard about how good it was to stretch and work on range of motion, but it really was that first massage that put it right in my face about how "inelastic" and immobile I really was. I followed up after that session by enrolling in your Yoga class and continuing to get massages on a somewhat regular basis and I am convinced that the combination of your massage technique and Yoga cured me of my back pain. I am pain free today. I cannot think of massage as anything, but the techniques that you use anymore. The "standard" therapeutic massages that I used to get just don't do it for me any more.

After a session with Paul, I notice that I move more easily and that chronic pains are not evident. Even my yoga teacher looks forward to my massages because it makes my body more receptive to adjustments in poses that push my limits.
